Chronic

Chronic is a self-initiated project at the crossroad of visual journalism and editorial illustrations.
The idea is to catch the viewer’s attention through the employment of appealing covers in order to make them reflect on some of the sub- and collateral phenomena brought by the current crisis.

The name ‘chronic’ refers to both its main subject and its chronic aspect, which is the state of (social) disease and the pandemic itself, and to the imagery connected to the world of news, to the chronicle.  The project indeed is conceived to be released in the format of a visual article, through the blending of text and image, the cover wants to portray some specific terms, concepts and phenomena that involve our new world’s configuration.

Through the blending of text and image, the result is a series of concepts that depict different circumstances and new concepts that society is currently facing.
